Trentham Estate's own Leah Cozens has won the Sunraysia Institute of TAFE 2010 Chefs of the Future competition!
Our second-year apprentice chef impressed the judges with a duo of Jerusalem artichoke and mushroom with burnt butter sage in the heats, and presentated a spectacular Murray Cod sous vide from a mystery box of ingredients for the final on June 9.
The Sunraysia TAFE Chefs of the Future competition has become a showcase event for local apprentice chefs and offers young, talented apprentices a chance to show their skills while being mentored by some of the best chefs in the region.
