The Willandra wines are carefully crafted to reflect the balance in our fragile local environment. The styles show clean, clear fruit characters with emphasis on freshness and vitality.
Named after the Willandra Lakes, with its famous Lake Mungo, which are north of the Trentham Estate Vineyards. These ancient lakes supported a large array of native fish, birds and other wildlife, which helped to maintain a large Aboriginal population from 20,000 to 60,000+ years ago.
Today these large lakes have dried and what remains is a timeless environment of lakebeds, sand-drifts and sandstone outcrops.
The Trentham Estate Vineyards are highly regarded for their fruit quality with environmental sensitive vineyard practices and carefully selected vineyard varietal clones.
