"If only all sub-$20 merlots were this good. Dark berries and a touch of fruitcake richness and spice mark the nose, along with balanced sweet oak. The smooth, medium-bodied palate has soft plummy flavour with a whisper of mint. Very soft tannins balance it perfectly for current drinking.'
