Two Thirds Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2016
87 Points – James Halliday, 27th September 2016
“Two Thirds” refers to the alcohol, not the percentage of semillon (which is in fact 70%); the alcohol is in fact two-thirds that of a standard white wine. Fermentation was arrested by chilling and filtering the wine, but, given the barely off-dry nature of the wine, it seems that some of the alcohol was removed by means such as reverse osmosis or by other legal ways.’
With early harvesting and careful winemaking, our winemakers have crafted a refreshing white wine with only 8.5% alcohol – two thirds the alcoholic strength of a standard white wine. The wine is fresh and lively with green colour, citrus and tropical aromas, crisp and refreshing. Enjoy with a seafood platter, chicken or light vegetarian dishes.
